The Door (2021)

In 2021, I won the Grand Stories Call from MinTic Colombia with the screenplay for the short film "The Door." It's a story that explores the theme of fear and raises the question of how viable it is to live consumed by this emotion, and whether acting guided by fear can turn against us.

SYNOPSIS

Mirta, an elderly woman living alone, becomes terrified upon learning that burglars have broken into her neighbors' house. She decides to reinforce the security of her own door, making it impenetrable. Mirta successfully obtains a secure door to keep the bad guys out. However, she forgets that it can also prevent the good ones from leaving.
