Mateo (2014)

I co-wrote the feature film MATEO with María Gamboa. The film won more than 15 national and international awards, both in its development and exhibition stages, the most outstanding in terms of script being the Jordan Ressler Competition Best Screenwriting Award (Best Script) within the framework of the International Festival Miami-MIFF (2014), where the film had its world premiere.

The UN chose MATEO to be part of its Breathe Peace campaign (2014-2015) that toured around more than fifty municipalities in Colombia, carrying a message of peace and reconciliation. Likewise, it was selected by the Colombian Academy of Arts and Cinematography to represent Colombia in the Best Foreign Film category of the 2015 Academy Awards.
