La Uña Roja (1999)
The Red Nail was originally conceived as a short story that I later adapted into a screenplay for a medium-length film. In 1999, I received the Project Development Award in the Call for Proposals by the Film Development Fund, now known as Proimágenes Colombia. The following year, I received an Honorable Mention in the Feature Film Production category from the same fund.
Despite the recognition and support received, I was unable to bring the story to the big screen. Years later, while pursuing a Specialization in Narrative Creation at the Central University, from which I graduated in 2013, the writer Roberto Rubiano encouraged me to transform it into a noir novel. In 2016, it was published by Ápeiron Ediciones (Madrid, Spain).
